~Western Japan local trip Ep.24 “Ise Jingu”~

旅は10日目、時刻は12時半を少し回ったところです。
It was day 10 of the trip, and the time was a little after 12:30.

月夜見宮を後にして歩くこと10分ほど、伊勢神宮外宮に到着いたしました。
After leaving Tsukiyominomiya, we walked for about 10 minutes and arrived at Ise Jingu Ge-ku.

〜伊勢神宮外宮〜
~Ise Jingu Ge-ku~

駐車場の空きが少なく、北御門口から入っていきます。
There was not much room in the parking lot, so we entered through the north gate entrance.

見渡す限りの木々に圧倒され、凛と澄み渡った空気を吸い込み、正宮への道を進んで参ります。
Overwhelmed by the trees as far as the eye can see, I breathe in the clear, dignified air and continue on my way to the main shrine.

しばらく進むと右手奥に正宮が見えてまいりました。
After a while, the main shrine came into view on the far right.

ちなみに手前の縄で囲まれておる場所が式年遷宮の際に建て替えられる場所になります。
By the way, the area in the foreground surrounded by ropes is where the shrine will be rebuilt during the Shikinen Sengu ceremony.

そして、正宮 豊受大神宮に到着。こちらには豊受大御神と言う天照大神のお食事を司る神様が祀られております。
We then arrived at the Toyoke Grand Shrine, the main shrine. This shrine enshrines Toyoke no Omikami, the god who is in charge of Amaterasu’s meals.

正宮では1500年前から毎日、朝と夕方に神々にお食事をお供えする神事 大御饌祭（おおみけさい）が行われておるそうです。
At the Shogu Shrine, the Omike-sai, a ritual of offering food to the gods, has been held every morning and evening for 1,500 years.

亀石。写真左側の突き出したところが亀の頭に見えるところから名付けられたそうです。
Turtle stone. It was named after the protruding part on the left side of the photo, which looks like the head of a turtle.

当日は天気も良く、緑がとても鮮やかでした。
It was a beautiful day and the greenery was very vivid.

土宮。地主の神様をお祀りしております。
Tsuchinomiya. The god of the land is enshrined here.

多賀宮。豊受大御神の荒御魂をお祀りしております。
Taganomiya Shrine. It enshrines the rough spirit of Toyoke no Mikoto.

風宮。風雨を司る神様をお祀りしております。
Kazenomiya. It enshrines the god who controls wind and rain.

神楽殿の近くの鳥居。
The torii gate near the Kaguraden.

勾玉池。魔除けや厄除けといった呪的な意味で身につけられてきた勾玉の形をした池です。
Magatama Pond. It is a pond in the shape of a magatama, which is worn as a charm to ward off evil spirits and bad luck.

外宮の由緒が書かれた看板。1500年の歴史と人々の営みを感じられる神社でした。
A signboard describing the history of Ge-ku, a shrine with 1,500 years of history and people’s activities.

さて、外宮にて参拝を終え、これから内宮へと向かいます。
Now that we had finished our visit to the Ge-ku, we headed for the Nai-gu Shrine.

が、その前に案内人がどうしても寄りたい神社があると言うことで、猿田彦神社へと向かうことになりました。
But before that, guide(My friend) said there was a shrine he really wanted to visit, so we headed for Sarutahiko Shrine.

〜猿田彦神社〜
~Sarutahiko Shrine~

車で向かうこと約10分、猿田彦神社へ到着いたしました。
After about 10 minutes of driving, we arrived at the Sarutahiko Shrine.

猿田彦神社は別名「みちひらきの神社」とも呼ばれ、こちらに祀られております猿田彦大神が高千穂峡での天孫降臨、そして京都の宇治、さらには伊勢神宮内宮外宮とも深い関わりがある神様になります。
The god Sarutahiko is deeply connected with the descent of the descendants of the gods at Takachiho Gorge, Uji in Kyoto, and the Ge-ku and Nai-ku of Ise Jingu.

図らずも今回の旅のルートとリンクすると言うことで、案内人が連れてきてくれた訳でございます。まさに天啓。
The guide brought us to this place because it was linked to the route of my trip. It was truly a revelation.

御神田（おみた、寺社や皇室等が所有する領田）
Omita (Territorial rice fields owned by temples, shrines, and the imperial family.)

猿田彦神社での参拝を終え、境内社の佐瑠女神社にもお参りをし、準備万端。
After visiting Sarutahiko Shrine, we paid our respects at Sarume Shrine, one of the shrine precincts, and were all set.

次回は伊勢神宮内宮を参拝いたします。
Next time, we will visit the Nai-ku of Ise Jingu.
