~Western Japan local trip Ep.14 “Hakata to Nagasaki”~
「西日本ローカル旅！」の6日目の朝を迎えました。
Reached the morning of the 6th day of “Western Japan Local Trip!”
この日はボート界の5大レース(GRAND 5)に数えられますボートレースクラッシック(旧 総理大臣杯)が福岡競艇場にて開催されるため、まずはその観戦に行こうと思います。
On this day, Boat Race Classic (former Prime Minister’s Cup), which is one of the 5 major races in the Japanese boat industry, will be held at Fukuoka Boat Race Stadium, so I will go to see it first.

AM 10時にホテルを出発。
Depart the hotel at 10 AM.

ですが、残念なことに席が売り切れのため観戦できず。２レースだけ競艇を楽しんで、お腹が空いたので近くのラーメン屋へ。
Unfortunately, the seats were sold out and I couldn’t watch the game. So I stopped betting in just two races and went to a nearby ramen shop because I was hungry.

ホテルに戻り時刻は12時40分。13時過ぎにホテルを再び出発し、西鉄福岡(天神)の高速バス乗り場へ向かいました。
Return to the hotel at 12:40. I left the hotel again after 13:00 and headed for the expressway bus stop in Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin).
高速バス乗り場は鹿児島行きの時と同じ場所でした。
The expressway bus stop was the same place as when going to Kagoshima.

そして、バスに揺られること2時間弱、長崎平和公園バス停に到着いたしました。
Then, two hours after being shaken by the bus, I arrived at the bus stop of Nagasaki Peace Park.

噴水と、平和の願いを込めた石碑
A fountain and a stone monument with a wish for peace.
公園内は色々な彫刻、オブジェが点在してました。
Various sculptures and objects were scattered in the park.
右手は天を指し原爆の脅威を、左手は水平に伸びて世界の平和を、そして閉じられた目は戦争被害者の方達のご冥福を祈っているそうです。
The statue points to the heavens with his right hand to express the threat of the atomic bomb, extends his left hand horizontally to mean a prayer for world peace, and closes his eyes to pray for the souls of the victims of the war.

そして公園を散策し終え、次のスポットへと移動することに。
After walking around the park, I decided to move on to the next spot.
長崎の街並み
Nagasaki cityscape
長崎は日本国内でも有数の坂道が多い街なんだそうです。次回はそんな長崎の街を観光していきます。
Nagasaki is said to be one of the most sloped cities in Japan. Next time, I will go sightseeing in Nagasaki.
